Ordered product arrived new in package and works well. Arrived in promised amount of time.
I got this camera for 100 dollars refurbished so it included one year warranty. I will describe myself as a beginner photographer since I am in high school. I just needed the cheapest camera with Manual Control. I was soo excited to get the camera but when i got it, I was a bit bummed. The screen quality on the camera was horrible. But it pictures were great on the computer. One thing that made me want to throw the camera to the wall was the MACRO. This is camera has the worst Macro ever so if you shoot pictures with macro. Dont buy. Macro is when you should close up objects. Other than that it is a great camera. Especially for families. Zoom is super and auto mode is okay. But unfortunatelly my LCD screen cracked from the inside after buying it. It was in a case in my backpack. So I sent it in repair. I was able to give the camera a 4 star review even though the screen cracked. That shows how much I liked it. Dont buy the camera if it is over $160 though. Way much better Nikons and Canons with the same and better features.Kodak EasyShare Z915 Digital Camera (Black)
I just bought two of these for my daughter, after web research, and am pleased. It is better than my more expensive SLR bought just three years ago, she’d better watch out. Despite her aversion to mechanical devices and reading instructions, she’s off and running in a photography class. Two excursions downtown this weekend, and she’s already snapped 700 pictures and posted on Facebook (and gotten compliments for) at least 60 shots.
This camera has the combination of moderate price, 10X zoom, fast exposure and focus, image stabilization, 10 megapixels, and ease of use that I sought. The only other sensible alternative is a more compact camera, but those have much less zoom power – good luck getting close to distant or reluctant subjects with those.
The first camera, however, was a casualty of a dropped backpack. A minor scuffle led to a shattered LCD screen on the back, which is relatively exposed. Nice that this camera is inexpensive.
After quite a bit more web research and visits to Radio Shack and Office Depot, I found that the Case Logic MEQB series semi-hard case just fits the camera and comes in 5 comely colors. Office Depot had that model, and it should protect the 2nd camera for at least a while, and I see it at Walmart as well.
Don’t forget to order a fast and ample SDHC card. I got this one, although I’m sure cheaper ones would suffice: Patriot LX Series 8 GB SDHC Class 10 Flash Memory Card PSF8GSDHC10 (Black) . Internal memory is just a few mbytes. Make sure you have the current version of EasyShare software (the version on the disk that came with my camera wasn’t).
If you plan to use the cable to download pictures, note that it is NOT a standard USB cable, rather this Kodak USB Cable Model U-8 $20 special order, so don’t lose it as I did. A $10 SDHC card reader also works, but the cable works better.
Manuel is a general manuel for many models and not specific to Z915. Have to use internet to look up directions. Camera will do a lot of things if you can find and understand the directions.
I was looking for new camera to replase my stolen one. I needed something of a good size device, not mini. It wasn’t easy to find one of this size which would be also well priced. And Kodak did it! I love to feel this camera in my hands, love the color, quality of pictures. 100% satisfied!
